Summer At Tiffany

I saw Summer At Tiffany by Marjorie Hart and it sounded like a great memoir.   It is about a college age woman, Marjorie, and her best friend who go to New York, from Iowa, for the summer during WWII to work in a fancy department store.  Marjorie and her best friend go from fancy department store to fancy department store to find a summer job.  Nobody is hiring.  So finally they go to Tiffany.  And they luck out and get hired as the first woman employees on the floor.  Marjorie then tells about her experience working at Tiffany for the summer, as well, as experiencing New York for the first time.

Marjorie does a great job telling the story of her summer.  Just reading it you feel the energy and fun she had that summer.  Overall, it is a quick read.  It is an entertaining and fun.  I would highly recommend it for a quick fun read.
